Dreams really do come true when you have a custom-built, 7600 square foot, three-story stone home on almost an acre of land in the heart of Clarkson/Lorne Park, with resort-like amenities including a custom pool, tennis/sports court and separate guest house.

“It’s quite rare to find a lot that’s almost an acre in Mississauga, especially with a legal secondary detached residence allowance,” says James Hodgins, Broker of Record, Hodgins Realty Group Inc., Brokerage. “This property is one of only a handful of private residences in Mississauga that offer compound-style estate living.”

Beautiful wrought iron gates open to welcome guests to the circular drive to admire the stunning architectural details including the home’s cut stone exterior, curved window design, wrought iron Juliette balconies, peaked roof lines. There’s a three car garage as well and James points out another rarity: “The former owner was a car magnate and loved to collect cars so there is another three car garage in the back, along with the private guest house.”

Inside, the transitional style home has been completely renovated to create an open concept design featuring custom millwork and the best quality luxury finishes throughout.  In six short months, the current owner hired a team of artisans to remove walls and open up the entire back end of the home to create an enormous Great Room for his young family. The result is a stunning open and airy space with panoramic views of the pool and yard from the family room, the atrium-style eating area and the gorgeous gourmet kitchen.

Gleaming white custom cabinetry and quartz and marble countertops, along with stainless high end appliances give the kitchen a clean, chic vibe. But the showstopper in this space is the biggest island imaginable, topped in custom cut quartz marble, with a breakfast bar and an extended area for storing big party platters and the homeowner’s cookbook collection.

The kitchen opens to an adjacent formal dining room that’s wrapped in luxury featuring a unique croft ceiling, curved front windows and a statement-making rectangular crystal chandelier. A double-wide entrance opens to the adjacent living room where custom detailing are echoed in the croft ceiling and millwork. The gas fireplace with stone mantle is a nice touch as are the beautiful windows overlooking the yard.

An office on the main level feels like a cosy library, wrapped in custom wood panelled walls and bookcases that draw attention to the trio of curved windows. There’s a nice flow to the main and upper level thanks to the homeowner’s use of custom designed hardwood floors.

Part of the massive renovation project included blasting through the stone on the back wall of the house to incorporate double French doors in the family room (Great Room) which open on to a large patio overlooking the pool. “To do this, the homeowner located the original stone mason who was then 85 years old, and he and his son did the renovation and you honestly can’t tell the old stone from the new they did such an amazing job,” says James.

The custom designed salt water pool features a Badu Jet system so you can swim against a current. A stone wall boasts a triple waterfall feature complete with sound and lights! The nearby pool cabana offers tranquil summer enjoyment. The lawn looks more like a golf green and leads to the tennis/sports court which has stadium LED lighting for night games.   Mature trees surround the fenced property making this a private oasis for living the good life.
