Lighting Design Course Online

After a soft rollout earlier this year, the American Lighting Association’s two new websites are making it easier for members and lighting industry professionals to access design content, technical information and education programs.

To increase ease of navigation, ALA separated its digital content into two sites: for consumer-related information and for industry professionals.

Lighting professionals will find useful information on, which is easily accessed from the consumer-centric site with one click, and vice versa. contains all of the association’s education content, member and industry news, ALA event information and registration, as well as technical and government engagement updates.

While the sites have been live for a few months, further development now allows members greater access to ALA’s vastly improved online education and training portal. ALA members can now use their online accounts to track their course history and professional certifications. Members will find a list of frequently asked questions to help them navigate the large array of available training opportunities.
