Cunningham worked with volunteers to build the three-bedroom, one-bathroom home in Gary's Glen Park neighborhood that's intended to give her "a new life of stability, strength and self-reliance." All Habitat for Humanity families must donate 300 sweat equity hours and get home ownership and financial training classes to move into an affordable home, built with donated funds and volunteer labor.
