The Takoma Horticultural Club Presents

"What We Can Learn From English Gardens"

presented by Carolyn Mullet

Wednesday, March 18, 7:30-9:00pm

At Historic Takoma

7328 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park, MD

The English think of themselves as a nation of gardeners and their gardens are thought by many to be the most beautiful in the world. Carolyn Mullet, a Takoma Park garden designer, will present a slide show of typical English garden elements that can be adapted to our gardens here on this side of the pond. You'll come away with practical design tips to take your garden to the next level.

Carolyn Mullet has been a Takoma Park resident for 35 years. She's a professional garden designer, trained in Residential Landscape Design from George Washington University. After more than two decades as a landscape designer for prominent design build firms in the DC metro area, she launched Carex: Garden Design by Carolyn Mullet, offering complete garden design services. You can see her work on her website . Carolyn is also active on Facebook ( ). She had no idea when she started posting on Facebook that a global community of over a million people would eventually convene to share and discuss their love of gardens and design. After growing such a robust Facebook community, Carolyn was inspired to see what more could come of bringing people together in the context of real gardens. This year she has started a new venture called Carex Tours and will host 3 European garden tours ( ). She believes she has created ideal itineraries for gardeners and warmly welcomes others to join her. Carolyn is also graciously hosting a THC Open Garden on June 26.
