Anthropologie in South End will open at the end of next week.
Lyle Darnall, managing director of Columbia-based developer Edens, said the store is hosting a private opening party Sept. 3 and should open to the public Sept. 4.
The retailer’s new store is in a renovated space of more than 8,000 square feet in Atherton Mill shopping center. It’s next to Luna’s Living Kitchen, across from the newly re-branded Bonz Smoke & Taphouse (formerly Icehouse.)
The new store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m., an Anthropologie spokeswoman told the Observer.

Darnall said this spring that Anthropologie is among the first of many soon-to-be announced retailers that will “solidify Atherton as the retail focal point of the South End and Dilworth communities for years to come.”
Other retailers in the shopping center currently include By Design Furniture and the Atherton Market.
The new store’s address is 2000 South Blvd., Suite 200. Edens also owns the Park Road Shopping Center.
Anthropologie – which sells home goods and women’s apparel, accessories and shoes – operates two other Charlotte stores in SouthPark mall and in Northlake Mall.
